Simply put, flyball is a canine sport in which 4 dogs run a relay over a set of hurdles. At the far end of the course is a spring-loaded mechanism that the dog triggers to laungh a tennis ball. The dog then returns to the start/finish line with the ball and the next dog begins his leg of the relay. The Blockade Runners team is one of several based in the Raleigh, NC area and these photos were taken at a demonstration at Lake Benson County Park in September, 2003. As you can tell, for the dogs this game is all about the ball!
