In Loving Memory Dr. James E. Bengel October 13, 1932 - July 3, 2000
Dr. James E. Bengel, Col USAR (Ret.) of Raleigh North Carolina passed away at Rex Hospital at 9:50 pm Monday July 3, 2000. He was predeceased by his parents Mildred Davis and A.L. Bengel Sr. and by his sister Marion Frances Joyce. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Connie Bengel, his sons James A. and Scott Bengel, his brother A.L. Bengel Jr. and six grandchildren.

Dr. Bengel retired from North Carolina State University after 27 years service as a psychologist in the Counseling Center, and from the U.S. Army Reserve as a Colonel with 30 years service.

Visitation will be at Mitchell's funeral Home 600 St. Mary's St. Raleigh on Wednesday July 5th from 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held at the Bun Olive Chapel of Forest Hills Baptist Church, 201 Dixie Trail Raleigh on Thursday July 6th at 11 am.
